BTW, beginning next month I will be very busy with our Citizen Power Campaign until the Tea Party on April 15th.

Merry Christmas To All
We have accomplished so much this year, and I want to thank each and every one of you for your help and participation. But now is a time of reflection and joy. If we receive no gifts tomorrow, it will still be a great success. For we have already received the greatest gift of all. The gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Happy Birthday Jesus. To all of you, Merry Christmas and rest. We will get together after the first of the year. Right now, the government takes the money out of PUBLIC employees paychecks, gives it to the Public union bosses who turn around and give it back to the politicians. We have no voice any more, and we're tired of it.

Petitions Ready! Volunteers Needed
It is finally here. Our petition is now available for you to download. I will give you a couple links that you will need for this. The first one is Unplug The Political Machine petitions, and the second one is a Fact Sheet with information for you.
It would be very helpful if you joined the Unplug the Political Machine and then joined our group which is listed under Los Angeles County, Long Beach, Long Beach Patriots. Long enough for ya? *heh*
So what is this petition about? Ah. I've been writing in our private site, so you may want to join that also. That is where I post the news others have written and what is happening. It most likely will NOT be found here, because we have idiots in this country who do not believe in freedom of speech, the right to associate with like-minded people, and the such. So email me and I'll include you if I already have you on my list. It also makes it easier for me to email everyone with one email rather than 5 emails with 20 people at a time.
Now down to business. This is a petition to add an amendment to California's Constitution. What it does is it denies the government the right take your money (if you a public employee) for political purposes, give it to public employees union bosses (not the employees), whom in turn give it back to the crooked politicians that took it from the employees in the first place. Basically, it puts them on the same playing field as the rest of us.
It does NOT deny the union bosses the rights of collective bargaining and all purposes of a union. It just means that they would have to ask people for political contributions. This way, if you are a public employee and don't agree with their politics (even if you do!), you get to keep the money YOU worked your butt off for to earn.
Why is this important to us? Because it is corrupting our political system. When those weak-kneed politicians have meetings, do you think they're really working in our best interest? No, they're not. Why not? Because the union bosses have a seat at the table! If they know the union will run ads against them in the next election, how do you think they're going to vote, no matter the crisis it will cause the state? That's right, and that is corruption.
If we want to take back California for the Citizens, this is where we begin. You guys did wonderful when we kicked the snot out of Proposition 1A, and we are going to do it again. We need over 1.2 million signatures. If you go to the sites I have listed, you should find answers to any questions you may have. Otherwise, you can always email me.
As for the volunteering, I need people to be committed to registering voters, signing the petitions (upon showing a drivers license, my sticky point) at malls, at home, at your place of work, etc, and getting them to the address given on the petition. Even a petition with only one signature on it is still good. Send it in! Just make sure that everyone you sign is registered to vote and lives in the same county as the petition.
Let us not show that Long Beach doesn't care about corruption. We do. We need to collect many signatures within this couple of weeks to have anyone with money interested in helping us. Please step forward and be counted. God bless you all.

Still Waiting For New Computer
I am fortunate enough to have a brother who understands that if he doesn't allow me to use his computer while he sleeps, I'll go stir crazy. I made the purchase on the 9th, but it won't be here until the 18th (Wed). I'm dieing!
I can't write a long up-to-date, so I'll just say that I'm doing better than even I expected. After all, what else can I do? Boy, it sure does let one know how addicted to these machines one can get. Hmm...

One Of My Best Friends Died
I apologize for not being here for a while. See, my computer went to computer heaven. I am rather shook up. I started to buy a new computer immediately, but everytime I hit the 'Calculate' button, I received an error message.
That's easy enough, or so I thought. I'll just call the store. So I did. After about 6 calls to the store and 2 calls returned to me, we were no closer to getting me a new computer. *sigh*
The problem was in their bundling. None of their computers would accept the continue button. So, it wasn't just my imagination!
We finally sold it separately (I told them I was only going to pay for the bundle price). That worked. It should be on its way after tomorrow. Until then, I have to use my brother's computer AFTER he goes to sleep. For once in our lifetimes, we have the same sleeping hours!
Stay tuned. I have some very important information to share with you about the Farmers Relay Rally and the Citizens Initiative that we are going to get 1.2 million signatures for to get it on the ballot this November. Lots of info, and all of you can help. See ya then. God bless.

Why Govt Healthcare Is Bad
The year was 1982, the month was June, the day was the first. The night before I had such a headache and lost the feeling on my right side, but this had happened. I thought it would go away, so I went to sleep early instead of partying with everyone. After all, it was my graduation party.
When I awoke, the pain in my head was indescribable. It wasn't a headache anymore, my head was on fire from the inside and it felt as if my brain had swollen to the point it was going to pop out. I could no longer walk at all, so I crawled to the phone.
I could not talk so when the operator asked where I was, I was very proud of myself. I knew this answer! I was home. Where was home? Hell if I knew. I did not even know my name. I was having a stroke at the age of 22.
She must have found out where I was somehow, because the police and neurologists rushed to my home. When I saw them, my body finally succumbed. Probably due to relief. It took 9 months for me to learn how to speak in one word syllables again, and it took me a year and a half to relearn how to walk so it would appear I was not limping. Two and a half months later I was stricken with epilepsy.
There is so much more to be said, but you get the general idea. So what does this have to do with this health care bill Congress passed? A lot. You may not know this, but I have been on some sort of medical welfare ever since. I am forced to take medication for the rest of my life, so I have to see a specialist at least once a year.
I receive news all the time about which medications the govt will no longer cover, yet other people can still be offered. No problem, right? Just pay for it, right? Well, NO. It is against the law for me to pay for any medication already. What do you think I was trying to tell you? I just didn't want to go into detail.
This is my last plea. This is very important for you to know, for it will happen to you as well. I am afraid every time I open the news of which medicines they're going to stop funding, because I am allergic to all but one medication to control my epilepsy. What do I do when the day comes when they cancel that? What will you do when cancel yours?
They are going to have to reduce medication for everyone, because they cannot afford to care for everyone. So who will it be? Will we turn into a nation of people who pray it happens to someone else or will we be the kind of people who prevents this from happening in the first place?
It is up to you. I can no longer do this. I have done all of this by myself for a long time now, and I just cannot continue. You will find out why not in my next post. I've had it with this govt, and Saturday was the last straw. I have made up mind, but that's for the next post. Until then, someone please take over this blog!

I Let You Down
I was a little late this morning. Since I had to carry everying in my walker and packback, I was in such a hurry trying to get everything set-up that I couldn't find a few things until some people left. Someone even came all the way from South Bay, and I was unprepared. After all the time I spent preparing, I blew it. I apologize. It surely has been one of 'those' days. Thank you for coming.
Today I had to leave early. It was around noon. I also heard about the people that were told to get out of the congresscritters offices, Well I ran into a problem with some people who appear to be ACORN proto-types. I was told I was not allowed to protest on one of the corners because it was a business area, so I asked if anyone complained. She said it was her job to remove me before they did! I asked when was the last time she read the constitution, especially the FIRST AMENDMENT!
It was either leave or throw down. I wanted to show her that she couldn't push me around but the truth is, I'm only 5 feet tall and disabled. Back in the day it wouldn't have taken a second thought. In a way, I'm kind of glad it did. She probably could have stomped me. I wouldn't want to bring that kind of a message to our cause either.
I complained to her boss who gave me a different story (lie) about why I could not use my megaphone and protest there. First it was due to the businesses, then it was because people live in the area. So I guess people are only allowed to protest in the middle of the woods where no one will ever hear them? Bull.
I also questioned her boss as to whether the fact that I was the only one there at the time made a difference. She of course said no. Then I asked her if I were an illegal alien with hundreds of thousands of people with me if we would be having this same conversation? She lied right to my face and said yes. THAT is a lie. The police protect the illegals and arrest the citizens of my great country. I know. I've seen (heard of) it happening during (Karl) Marx Day (May 1st is known as May Day).
When they protest, they block all the traffic in downtown Los Angeles. No work can be done, business have to shut down whether they like it or not, and the illegals get special treatment. Maybe I can be defined as a minority or some protected group? Gosh, and I used to believe my citizenship MEANT something. I guess it is only special to me.
The few people who did show up today were very nice and took advantange of the opportinuty to go upstairs and voice their opinions to Congressmember Laura Richardson. For those of you who do not understand why there are no bands there and all that, it was a Tea Party in unity with Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to speak with our Congresscritter to kill the bill HR 3962.
There is another issue I would like to bring up just this once. I am disabled and I take the bus. If you want a big time party, bring it yourself! I cannot. I do not have the equipment and if I did, I have no way to transport it. I continue to ask for help, but there is none forthcoming.
I cannot say that about everyone, however. Many of you have asked how you can help, and many of you have actually helped. To you I am very grateful. On the 4th of July, Roxanna brought the helium for the balloons. There was also the ride to the Federal Building. That was the first time I have been able to make it there out of all the times I wanted to go. THANK YOU!
Your posters are also great. I love them. Keep them coming. Jamie, was it you who hooked us up with the speaker for the 4th of July? Whoever it was, thank you. You guys sure are awesome. I just wish I knew the words to motivate everyone and get you to know how very vital a time we are facing.
Pelosi thinks she has the votes. Otherwise I do not believe she would be calling for a vote on Saturday. Please keep those phone calls going! That is more important than what I did. I appreciate your efforts so much. Thank you.
Off-Topic (OT): Please say some prayers today for our service men and women and their families in Fort Hood. God help them and heal them. Comfort those who have lost their loved ones. It was a jihadis attack, and I knew it as soon as they would not give his name or race. Do they really think we're that stupid? Oh yeah, they came out right away without any investigation to say it was NOT a terrorist attack. No, I guess it was just one of those "man-caused disasters'. I am so disgusted with him and all those who think that way.

New Group For Members
I shall continue to write here so everyone may stay up to date, but I have opened a google groups site today for the members of Long Beach Patriots who are interested in keeping the pressure on these government critters. I have been writing news and mailing it many people, but I do not know who or how many really want these emails.
I know I don't particularly like it when I receive so many emails that I have to delete some of them. I don't like it because I always feel bad. When someone takes the time to send me an email, I like to have the decency to read it.
When I started receiving 200 emails I thought, "Oh my! This is a lot!" I long for those days! haha. A lot of it is news, however, but I'm a news junkie. *sigh*
This new site is privacy protected. It shall only be available to those who respond to the email I sent them. It is a private site, so people can feel free to speak. Tough luck, Obama. This is still America!
The first time I had Tea Party on April 15th, I had no idea what I was getting into. That's okay though. I've been wanting to get active in a good way for many years now. If you live in the Long Beach, California area, email me. I'll have to 'interview' you to make sure you're not from ACORN or SEIU before you get anywhere close to an invitation! *heh*

I know I don't particularly like it when I receive so many emails that I have to delete some of them. I don't like it because I always feel bad. When someone takes the time to send me an email, I like to have the decency to read it.
When I started receiving 200 emails I thought, "Oh my! This is a lot!" I long for those days! haha. A lot of it is news, however, but I'm a news junkie. *sigh*
This new site is privacy protected. It shall only be available to those who respond to the email I sent them. It is a private site, so people can feel free to speak. Tough luck, Obama. This is still America!
The first time I had Tea Party on April 15th, I had no idea what I was getting into. That's okay though. I've been wanting to get active in a good way for many years now. If you live in the Long Beach, California area, email me. I'll have to 'interview' you to make sure you're not from ACORN or SEIU before you get anywhere close to an invitation! *heh*

Sen. Feinstein Lied, Millions Died

People starved to death, because there was no cornmeal which is sometimes all the poor countries get to eat. Did anyone consider this wee tidbit? No, they wanted their cars and didn't want to drill to keep them running. Very freakin nice.
The same is true with our Central Valley. Let's face it. California provides 40% of the world's food. What are we going to feed the rest of the world with when our own farmers in food lines? Very nice, Diane. I hope you're proud of yourself, because I certainly am not.
Senator Feinstein's Broken Promise.

Feinstein Lied, Millions Died" is because it is true if you take the long-term focus. When they took away the water, many crops were lost. Does anyone remember what happened when someone came up with the brilliant idea of using our food (corn) to enhance gasoline? What happened to the price of corn? What happened to the distribution of corn worldwide?
Families Protecting the Valley has expressed strong concern over the implementation of the San Joaquin River Restoration passed by Congress.
With the Delta lawsuits that shut off the pumps the environmentalists have basically reneged on their commitment to re-circulate the water back to the Friant service area. Therefore we need to recognize that this places us in the same position that Senator Feinstein's letter addressed in 1994.
Unfortunately, sponsoring legislators such as Senators Feinstein and Boxer, and Congressmen Radanovich, Costa, and Cardoza have remained silent rather than demand the environmentalists live up to their part of the bargain.
Combined with the inequitable distribution of the losses inflicted on Friant contractors, this abomination will eventually result in 200,000 to 300,000 acres of land being fallowed in the Friant service area.
Friant farmers went in to this deal in good faith. Now, they are left holding the bag. The result is exactly what Senator Feinstein warned against and vowed to stop in 1994, but apparently she is now willing to inflict on the Valley the very disaster she believed would happen if the water was taken from the farmers on the eastside of the valley.
Since the environmentalists have reneged on the deal, maybe it is time the legislators looked at amending or rescinding the San Joaquin River Restoration bill to fulfill the intent of the Settlement to mitigate valley losses.

Tea Party PATRIOTS v EXPRESS Part 2
This is the official statement of Tea Party Patriots.
Tea Party Patriots wishes to confirm that it does not directly or indirectly support or endorse any activities of Our Country Deserves Better, the political action committee (PAC) responsible for the 'Tea Party Express' bus tour conducted from 8/28 through 9/12 of this year, and an upcoming tour recently announced.
The Vice Chairman of OCDB and spokesman for the Tea Party Express, Mark Williams, has described President Obama as an "Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug," and the "Racist in Chief", phrases he defended recently in an interview on CNN. Tea Party Patriots disagrees strongly with President Obama on many issues, but we believe such statements are inappropriate and harmful to the healthy debate our country demands on challenging issues. Furthermore, Williams' antics play into the hands of mainstream media attempts to paint the Tea Party movement as a racist, radical fringe as opposed to the genuine grassroots movement representing all walks of American life that it truly is. In addition, in June, at a Tea Party Patriots event in Sacramento, Williams was requested to stop his verbal criticism of local law enforcement officers who were trying to stop him from interfering with other lawfully assembled citizens. Among other things, Williams used his megaphone to warn those present that they needed to move away from the officers by shouting through his megaphone, "Trust me, I grew up in Boston, you don't want a cop on horseback swinging at your head." People on the scene objected to his behavior, and in fact, law enforcement officers on the scene were polite and respectful, and were merely trying to get Mr. Williams to respect the rights of other individuals who had lawful permits. Full video of the incident is available on request. Subsequent to the event, Williams issued a written apology for his outrageous behavior towards law enforcement officers (again, available on request). Again, this type of behavior is precisely the brush with which our opposition wishes to paint us, and we believe it is important to decisively separate ourselves from people who behave in this way.
Furthermore, Williams directly attacked the genuine heart and soul of the tea party movement on, of all days, the morning of September 12th. While patriots from around the country were gathering in Washington, Williams posted a vitriolic blog entry about the August 28th Sacramento Tea Party event (where the Tea Party Express started its tour) in which he declared that he "can now report that at the Sac828 'Tea Party' event was anything but", describing it as "a rally representing tax-subsidized agricultural and industrial interests" whose speakers were "lobbyists and other representatives of big business." On the contrary, the organizers and speakers at the Sacramento event represented a tremendous grassroots effort on the part of hardworking local organizers from across California fighting the worst aspects of big government gone wild. Williams further bragged in an email to TPP leadership that "The national media embedded with me has been waiting for me to publish this story [with a link to his blog post] so that they can run with it." On the day when our fellow patriots were gathering in and focusing all eyes on the amazing event in Washington, Mark Williams was apparently focused on promoting divisive and false accusations about the Tea Party movement to the mainstream media.
Finally, Our Country Deserves Better is a PAC. And while we have no problems with PACs, and they definitely have their place in the political system today, they fulfill a very different role than the tea parties. If you take the time to review OCDB's FEC filings, you will find pages and pages of expenditures for Republican candidates and against Democrat candidates. Equally important, the political knowledge, muscle and primary operations of the PAC appear to come from a political consulting firm in Sacramento called Russo Marsh & Rogers. A review of the RMR website shows that they are long time Republican political consultants. As of this writing, their website appears to indicate that their electoral work across the country has been on behalf of Republican candidates whom they are paid to represent, and has been for many years. And if one looks at the FEC filings, it appears that the largest portion of the money raised by OCDB gets paid directly to Russo Marsh & Rogers. Please look at the filings for yourselves and make your own determination.
While there is nothing improper about this type of partisanship, it is our belief that this is not what the tea parties are about. Tea Party Patriots has worked very hard to be issue oriented regardless of political party affiliation. We support our core values: fiscal responsibility, Constitutionally limited government, and free markets over any political party. In order to remain non-partisan, we must separate ourselves from organizations that are partisan and are attempting to raise money using the non-partisan tea party movement.
Because of Williams' actions and his leadership role in OCDB and the Tea Party Express, and because of the partisan fundraising nature of OCDB and the Tea Party Express, the Tea Party Patriots cannot and will not support OCDB and in particular urges all local tea party activists not to participate in or support OCDB's second national Tea Party Express bus tour. We firmly believe that the fight for limited government and the Tea Party movement has room for many groups of all types, and we effectively work with many of them. But it has no room for those who attack grassroots organizers, use the tea party movement for partisan political fund raising, or who go out of their way to make offensive statements that serve only to drive people away from our cause.

Tea Party PATRIOTS v EXPRESS Part 1
This is the unofficial position which I have chosen to take. I am glad the in Part 2, the Tea Party Patriots also see it as I do. Below is a communication from Mark Williams and myself. Mark Williams tried to apology to me - why, I do not know - and my response to him. He has not respnsed in kind, so I take it that he will not be forethcoming with a true apology. I guess that's how one determines character...or lack thereof.

Your reckless did taint our Tea Party (Patriots), but I am not a politician. My skin is thicker than that. Are you aware that each organizer is individually their own Tea Party group? We all worked together.
I never worked with you because you do go over the top, and your way of attacking Obama alone is detrimental to our message. Your organization was never on my sidebar because of your behavior, so hate me as well.
I know Rick would be very surprised to learn that he agrees with your behavior. Not only about the blog post, but the words you use on TV. Do you not know that is what they are seeking to discredit us? When you make claims such as 'Racist-in-Chief', etc, what do you think the rest of the media is going to think about us after all the hard work everyone put into this?
BTW, 9/12 was GLENN BECK's idea, not yours. So don't get all high and mighty. You were NOT the only organization out there on April 17. I, for example, had my next Tea Party up without ever having to need ne'er a word or hand from you.
I guess what I am trying to say, quite bluntly, is that you are NOT representative of the Tea Party Patriots, the Tea Party's held all across this nation without your help and you trying to steal the credit, and I still DEMAND an APOLOGY TO MARK.
I am not going to get into the history with you any further as far as what happened on 8/28. It has been brought to my attention that you were aware that Mark did go to the hospital because they thought he was having a heart attack, but I was corrected that it turned out not to be an exact heart attack. For that apologize. I got very angry over that issue, and I was in wrong. No history. No, "But you are such a bad person", no nothing else. That is the way an apology is offered.
You do not say, "I apologize" and then rip right into him again. I find that rather odd. I also find it odd that you are supporting candidates that I am trying to throw out of Congress. I cannot help you do that. I agree with what Mark did. We all did. It is what WE the people of California decided to do. We have lawyers too, ya know, and our lawyers guided us.
Hey, why don't we let our lawyers duke it out? haha.

So please know, I am contrite in the knowledge that my off-the-cuff blog post hurt a lot of people who I certainly did not have any intention of hurting or insulting or impugning. But I did, and again I apologize unequivocally for that action on my part.
I posted my blog and had not told anyone involved with the Tea Party Express (including its principal sponsor, the Our Country Deserves Better Committee) because I was writing on my own personal blog and didn't realize the impact my post would have. Within 24 hours my colleagues at the Our Country Deserves Better Committee learned of my post and called and emailed me. They explained why this post of mine was counter-productive and hurt the good, hard-working people of the tea party movement. I read my post again, realized that they were right, and immediately took the post down.
So the issue becomes how to move forward so that you understand that my intentions towards you and the people of the Tea Party Patriots organization are not anything but positive and supportive.
There are two parts to this that I want to convey to you.

Here's what we put as our central messaging on the side of our two Tea Party Express tour buses. Your daily efforts have been what awoke the sleeping giant and I hope you will continue in your efforts to make an impact on the future of our country.
Again, I will call you tomorrow, and I hope whether you appreciate the sentiments I've tried to express in this note or not, that we can try to work constructively together in the future.

Right before sending you this email I noticed a statement that was emailed out by Mark Meckler announcing that the Tea Party Patriots national organization would not be supporting the Tea Party Express. The decision by the Mecklers' to issue such a press release baffles me, given the fact that this is exactly the same decision they made prior to the original Tea Party Express national tour. So they are once again replicating their pattern of behavior. And just so you are fully informed, we will proceed forward with the tour, just as we did the last time the Mecklers' pulled a stunt like this.

Thank you again for your hard work and dedication to the tea party movement. We as Americans are all better off because of it. The sleeping giant has been awakened and we will not allow our country to be transformed into what I call a "failed socialist paradise." Your daily efforts have been what awoke the sleeping giant and I hope you will continue in your efforts to make an impact on the future of our country.
Again, I will call you tomorrow, and I hope whether you appreciate the sentiments I've tried to express in this note or not, that we can try to work constructively together in the future.

Right before sending you this email I noticed a statement that was emailed out by Mark Meckler announcing that the Tea Party Patriots national organization would not be supporting the Tea Party Express. The decision by the Mecklers' to issue such a press release baffles me, given the fact that this is exactly the same decision they made prior to the original Tea Party Express national tour. So they are once again replicating their pattern of behavior. And just so you are fully informed, we will proceed forward with the tour, just as we did the last time the Mecklers' pulled a stunt like this.

Get Out The Voice Tea Party
Below you will find information concerning the Tea Party being held this coming Tuesday at our City Hall in Long Beach, California. Why at the City Hall? What do they have to do with Healthcare? Good question. I have a good answer.
Most of the people who get elected to City Council are more ambitious and may only serve two terms. This gives them a resume to take to Sacramento or to the Congress with them. I want to diswade any thoughts of voting yes for any kind of socialist government!
Plus, we can march back and forth from the City Hall to the Courthouse, and the Courthouse is on Ocean Blvd. Many people will be able to see us, and they can then be informed as to the sneakiness and corruption that is actually happening on their so-called behalf.
Many judges, lawyers, voters, and others who may be interested in protested but have not known how to or where there is a group of people who felt as they do will be easily available for them. ;)

October 13, 2009, there will be a Get Out The Voice Tea Party held at 333 W. Ocean Blvd in Long Beach, California, between 4pm and 7 pm. Seven pm is when they have their Council meeting. The Courthouse is right there on Ocean Blvd, so we will be seen this time. We must do this at this time to let the critters in Washington know that they are not hiding anything from us.
We have very little time. I need help. If anyone knows of someone who would be willing to speak at our Tea Party, please contact me. Please put Speaker(s) somewhere in the subject line. Hey, if you want to speak, that is alright also.

Great Water News Possibly
There is a legal firm known as Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF) who has been working very hard to help our farmers and all the citizens of California fight the government against the obnoxious man-made drought. They were in court recently and there's no ruling yet, but there may be some good news coming down with this ruling. If not (and if so), this may go to the Federal Court of Appeals and ultimately to the SCOTUS.
Can you imagine that the law would protect a fish over 35 million people? Neither could the PLF! Read this e-mail I've received.
I can teach you supply and demand economics in a few sentences.
1. There are 10 apples and 1 person wants to buy an apply. It is very cheap.
2. There is 1 apple and 10 people want to buy an apple. The price is high.
3. There are 5 apples and 5 people want to buy an apple. This is equilibrium. This is what the actual cost of the should be. (Hey, I'm trying to keep it simply. I know this is not exactly true, but it's true enough.)
What the government has done is to leave these farms product-less. Therefore we have to get our apples somewhere else. (Pretend the apples are something you actually want if you don't like apples, okay? haha) What does this cause? INFLATION! How?
1. There are no apples and 10 people want apples.
2. The price to buy an apple is then artificially higher.
Once prices rise, they seldom come back down. Does anyone remember when you could get a gallon of gas for 25 cents? Unbelievable? No. I remember, and I'm not that old!

Bravo!Judge cites “catastrophic effects” of feds’ water cutbacks.
Dear Rosemary,
Last week, a federal court in Fresno heard arguments on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Delta smelt “biological opinion”—the fish-before-people policy that has forced crippling water cutbacks for farms and communities in the Central Valley, along with rate hikes and rationing for Southern California water users.
PLF attorney Brandon Middleton—representing hard-hit farmers—argued PLF’s constitutionally based case against the water cutoffs, and other issues were addressed by other attorneys, representing other water users.
The good news is that Judge Oliver Wanger showed that he understands the devastating impact of the feds’ policies. As The Fresno Bee reported , the judge appears to already have concluded that the smelt plan has hurt the environment. He said it has caused dust to rise from dry fields, possibly reducing air quality. And increased ground-water pumping has caused land to sink, he said.
“‘How could this not affect the human environment?’ Wanger asked ... of the ... biological opinion. ‘It has had catastrophic effects.’”
Consequently, the judge declared—in a tentative ruling not yet finalized—that the feds failed to comply with federal law requiring environmental impact analysis when major federal actions affect the environment.
Meanwhile, PLF’s argument—that the smelt regulations are unconstitutional, because the fish exists only in California and plays no role in commerce—was rejected by the judge. We’re advancing fundamental constitutional principles here, issues that ultimately may have to be adjudicated by a federal appellate court—and possibly by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Nevertheless, there’s no question that, given the judge’s recognition of the “catastrophic” impacts of the water cutbacks, The Fresno Bee was correct in calling the overall hearing “encouraging ... for farmers.”

HR 1586: Tax 90% Of Bonuses To Become Hidden Healthcare Bill
This is true, at least to the best of my research. I have linked to two articles that are covering this issue. One is on the Right, one is on the Left.
Sen. Reid is going to try to slip this healthcare insurance - with all of its taxes, fines, jail for not 'going along', etc. - boondoggle into the House Bill to get it past the American people. He will do this by amending HR 1586 (90% tax on bonuses) and sending it back to the House. If they decide to go along with this, they can avoid having to go to conference.
Hoyer stated that he may pass it without amending it which will allow them to not go to conference. By doing it this way, they can ramrod it through without needing anymore discussion and avoid the Fillibusters in the Senate. It will only need a simple vote. Does anyone remember when the Republicans even whispered the words, 'Nuclear Option'? Yes, they were jumped on by everyone practically. Where is the noise?
I guess that's all we need to know to understand what is happening to our country which these brave men and women are putting it all on the line for so that we may remain free. What are willing to do to make sure that when they do come home, they come home to a free country? Even the Lefties get it. Slate:

Two Wins, Many Votes To Go
Today the Senate Finance Committee voted down both 'government options' which is a main bone of contention in one of the most favored bills by the Left for Universal Healthcare insurance. Here is a list of oh-so-biased media reports of this day's debates and votes.

'Disinformation' From Senate Majority Leader
Yesterday I made a phone call to Senator Harry Reid's office to find the Senate Bill (SB) number for Senator Baucus' bill that came out of the Finance Committee. Not too difficult a task, or so I thought. I was given two bill numbers, both dated February 2008!
The bill numbers I was given are SB 1699 and S 1647. I was so excited that I was able to contribute something to the cause that I called Dawn and told her about it. How embarrassing it was to have to call her back after hours on the search for a bill using the Thomas guide and coming up short.
I was very polite on this phone call. You could have sworn that I was on their side. I simply asked if they were going to allow us the 72 hours to view the bill before they voted on it like it had been promised. I did not use anyone's name in particular, because I did not want to put anyone on the defensive. I do not operate like that.
I just wanted the information. Well, no luck. As I mentioned, I searched the whole guide and could not find it. I tried 'Baucus', 'health care', 'health insurance', 'finance committee', and of course the bills themselves. There are too many bills, and boy did I find some doozies, for just one person to handle. I tried my best, but my best wasn't good enough.
According to this email I received from NewsMax today, they have no intention of allowing us any time to read this bill. NewsMax claims the bill hasn't even been written, however I believe it has been written so we disagree on this point. Otherwise, here is the email:

Of course, to state the obvious, the fact that they're negotiating on something that hasn't been written means no one has read it yet either.
And, to add even more insult to injury, it’s now clear they have no intention of letting you read it.
You read that right. On an almost straight party-line vote, Democrats in the Senate Finance Committee squashed an amendment by Senator Jim Bunning that would have required Baucus’ ObamaCare bill to be posted on the Internet – for all Americans to read – for 72 hours prior to the Committee voting on it.
Not only that. Bunning’s amendment also called for requiring the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office’s official tally of how much Baucus’ ObamaCare 6.0 will cost the American people and what the real impact will be on health costs to be released before the it was voted on.
It's as plain as the nose on your face.
They're leaving the door wide-open to pass Baucus' ObamaCare 6.0 proposal in the dead of night... under the cover of darkness… without even telling you and other concerned Americans what it will cost and how it will affect your health care.
But what really takes the cake is that even after those shenanigans, some Senate Republicans are still going out of their way to play Let’s-Make-A-Deal on Senator Max Baucus’ ObamaCare 6.0 socialized health care scheme.
They're actually fighting tooth-and-nail, not to stop ObamaCare but to negotiate a so-called compromise on this Obama-Baucus scheme to socialize the nation’s health care system.
And that's just one more reason why we must tell our elected officials, right here and right now, that the American people don't want any more negotiations or deals or compromises.
We want ObamaCare off the table and we want it off the table now.

So it appears Democratic leaders in both houses of Congress have decided to ram a bill through as quickly as possible. On Wednesday, the Senate Finance Committee voted 12 to 11 to reject a proposal to require a 72-hour waiting period and a full scoring of the bill by the Congressional Budget Office before the committee casts any final vote. Only one Democrat, Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, voted for the waiting period. Should I Run For Rep. 54th District, CA?
I have been organizing Tea Parties, petitioning my Congresswoman and Senators, Assemblywoman and State Senator, and I have come to the conclusion that the only way to solve California's problems is to get rid of everyone in office and replace them with grassroot people like us. In order to do this, we need many volunteers to step up to the plate. This is a grassroots movement politicians. How does the unemployment line look now?
I have met so many talented people while in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and through the internet and on conference calls. I believe there are enough of us to do what needs to be done.
Many may ask (or say) that we have no experience in politics. For some of us this is true, others of us have helped at campaigns. Those of us who have helped at campaigns I believe are sick and tired of elected liars and have been very disappointed at all the broken promises.
So what and who am I? I am a Conservative who loves animals, sports, family, the Military, the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. I am a pro-life, Evangalical Christian who believes the government has crossed the line. Which one, you ask? Good question, since they've crossed so many.
No government has the right to deprive a city, town, or individual of their livlihood without fair compensation [See 5th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States]. This has been so distorted that there are citizens within our Central Valley that have ZERO water because of a stupid ALIEN fish. That is correct. It's origins are NOT the Delta. So why don't they catch them all and let them go somewhere else? Because that makes sense!

Yes, these are termed-out politicians. They all need to be shut down. That includes you too, CARB [California Air Resources Bureau(?)]. TURN THE WATER ON!
I question whether or not I am a free marketer, or if the people who use that term realize what an oxymoron it is. Let's take a quick look at China. That country that sold and/or watch as almost all of nuclear arms flowed into N. Korea's warchest. We don't charge China for the junk they bring into our country to undercut our own manufacturers, yet we have to pay tarriffs and wonder still if they will come and take our companies. Hmm. Is that free-marketing? Not in my eyes. If I'm wrong, please explain to me why trading with an enemy of America is 'free'?
I am interested in foreign policy issues, but I believe our state is in much more need of fixing. Although someone should still run against Congresswoman Richardson. She has stayed in office only because no one opposes her.
In the State of California, we should have a Right to Work Law. As most of us have seen, ACORN is a corrupt organization, and they have their tenacles everywhere, such as the SEIU and other unions. I do not believe Californians should be penalized or forced to have their money stolen from them when they choose not to belong to a union. However if they choose to belong to a union, that's a different story. But it should not be any of our business! Don't we have enough to fix?
Well, I've addressed only a few of my concerns. I'd really like to talk about the schools and my easy solution to some of the problems. Make the principle the boss. Let the teachers teach reading, writing, math, history, American History, languages if they choose, art, sports, Excercise, etc. Teachers are closest to their students so they know what is needed. You will never be able to convince me that someone in DC knows what is better for our students than do our parents and teachers. Never.
So, should I run for California's State Assembly District 54? I would like your feedback. If I receive a good amount of comments, I will start an exploratory committee. Until then, I have to wait. Why? I don't know too many people. Yes, I know this is a drawback, but that's what hitting the pavement is for! On the brighter side, I have fresher ideas and the passion to go along with them. Being a Citizen Representative may be just the shot in the arm this state needs. What say you?

I have met so many talented people while in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and through the internet and on conference calls. I believe there are enough of us to do what needs to be done.Many may ask (or say) that we have no experience in politics. For some of us this is true, others of us have helped at campaigns. Those of us who have helped at campaigns I believe are sick and tired of elected liars and have been very disappointed at all the broken promises.
So what and who am I? I am a Conservative who loves animals, sports, family, the Military, the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. I am a pro-life, Evangalical Christian who believes the government has crossed the line. Which one, you ask? Good question, since they've crossed so many.
No government has the right to deprive a city, town, or individual of their livlihood without fair compensation [See 5th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States]. This has been so distorted that there are citizens within our Central Valley that have ZERO water because of a stupid ALIEN fish. That is correct. It's origins are NOT the Delta. So why don't they catch them all and let them go somewhere else? Because that makes sense!

9/12/09 & FPV
I attended the 912West Tea Party on Saturday, but I'm still waiting for someone to be so kind as to share their pictures with me before I write about it. It was GREAT! I can say that much. ;)
About Families Protecting The Valley, I know I've been writing more about them than anything else recently. There is a reason for that. I care what happens to them and to us. There is something happening that YOU can change, but only if you are armed with the information.
I found these great videos they have. Here is the page where you may find them. There is much news in their whole website. I asked them to include me in their e-mail releases so I can stay informed.
If you would prefer I do the research and reading for you, let me know. If you would prefer I stick to Long Beach, let me know. Frankly, no one has stepped up to the plate to help me do this, so I'm flying blind. I do have a main blog of which I am so far behind in blogging. That is another reason I have only posted once or twice a week.
In other words, HELP! Help is needed. I organize the Tea Parties, I pay for everything (almost) out of my own pocket, and I am on a fixed income. Yes, they cut it. I need your help, because I cannot physically do this by myself. Besides, I need your beautiful and bright minds!
I have seen the energy you have, and you are great. I want to encourage you to continue the fight. You are so imaginative with all the signs, songs, ideas. Together we can do this. Together there will be no ObmaaCare. Together we can take back our Liberty that has been slowly, over the decades, been stripped away from us while we were not paying attention. Yes, together we can, separately and one at a time, I am not sure. I just know I'm going to keep on trying. ;)
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm glad Joe Wilson didn't apologize again. Imagine it, when you tell the truth you have to apologize, but when you lie you do not. What kind of message does this send to our children? Bush lied, people died. Bush is Hitler. Blah, blah, blah. All lies, no apologies. It must be nice not have any integrity. Nah, I could never be a Democrat. I prefer the integrity. Have a blessed night.

HealthCare Like WaterCare?
Our Central Valley is suffering 40% unemployment, in some areas 0% water usage even though they hold the water rights to it, and a man (govt)-made drought. This is very serious. You can live without a doctor for many years, but how long can you live without water?
The maximum one can live without water is 4 days. Okay, that's for human beings. Why don't you stop watering your plants? It's just an experiment. See how long it takes before they start turning brown or a different color that is unhealthy. Hey, maybe we can get some plant healthcare?
Anyway, my point is this. The govt has destroyed 1.5 Million acres of farmland with their obnoxious laws, regulations, and we have stood by and said nothing. AB 32 was passed 3 years ago, along with California Air Resources Bureau (CARB), This is killing California. There is a bill number AB 118 which is to be heard this week in California's state politics. Please support this bill. It will at least repeal AB 32.
For more information, I thought maybe you would like to put a human face on it. Here is a letter to the editor written by a farmer who lives on the eastside of the Valley.
And this is the government you trust to take care of your healthcare? May I remind you that if your medication involves something that can declared endangered, you're screwed. Don't look at us. We tried to warn you. I guess it will just be too bad for you, too. After all, you didn't care when it wasn't your problem, right?
Oh, wait a minute! California grows and distributes 40-50% of all the food that feeds THIS country and others. Get ready for prices to go up, and don't ask why. We've just told you why. No product? More demand? Higher prices. Macro-Economics 101. The same thing will happen with healthcare.
More seniors, less product because they went out of business due to lack of PROFITS, higher costs to the government. Is the government supposed to give us healthcare in place of defending our Sovereignty? You should at least try to read our Constitution again!
The fight is not over. We have not lost. They have not won. We must keep the pressure on them to do the right thing. They are elected to protect the PEOPLE whom they represent. You have been great! I liked very much seeing you again on the 12th of September. Everyone have a blessed day.
Update: As I was sitting here pondering the consequences of the actions of Congress and environmental groups, I was intrigues with the proposition that there may be no food. No food? Then I realized what I was reminded of, Stalin's starvation of 65 million of his own people. No, I guess we don't need any death panels, do we?
HINT: I am not saying anything of the sort that Obama is Stalin. NO WAY. I am saying, however, we may find ourselves going down the same road. What is there to stop it from happening? That's correct, US. So back off with your racist comments. I reject them. Let's all agree to take our government back to the Constitution. Slavery has been eliminated and it was a horrible stain on us, but as they say, let's move on...

I feel that Mayor Jones was manipulated by Congressmen Cardoza and Costa. I am not sure why the mayor allowed our Valley congressional delegation to use him. Now is the time to stop political posturing and to aggressively and effectively fashion a desperately needed situation to this "man-made" drought.
I would suggest that the mayor check his facts before giving adulation and blind support. The United States Bureau of Reclamation did indeed re-scheduling over 250,000 acre feet of federal water from 2008 to 2009.
Those of us that have been involved in Westside farming over the years know that about 150,000 acre feet of such rescheduling is routinely requested and granted by the United States Bureau of Reclamation on an annual basis.
What was different this year was the fact that San Luis Reservoir was only at about 30 percent (300,000 acre feet federal) of storage capacity going in to 2009. Granting the re-schedule request for over 250,000 acre feet meant that there would be virtually no water available in San Luis Reservoir to meet senior water rights holders' (such as Central California Irrigation District) irrigation demands.
At the time, most modeling projected that USBR would probably have to take water from Friant Dam to meet those demands, reducing water made available to Friant Water User Authority Districts on the east side. My thanks goes to the Friant Water Users Authority for asking the USBR to honor the re-scheduling requests, supporting west side districts facing a 0 percent supply this year, even at the risk of their own contract supply.
Addressing water transfers by state and federal agencies this year. The Drought Water Bank was planning to transfer up to 600,000 acre feet from the Sacramento Valley to south of delta this year, with about half of that destined to local desperate Westside districts. Only around 90,000 acre feet total will actually be made available, with only about 30,000 acre feet going to local Westside districts.
Even though these small amounts of water are greatly appreciated, meeting 15 percent of a very achievable goal is hardly a success.
What we need to survive is 100 percent support for real solutions. Congressmen Cardoza and Costa need to join with Congressman Devin Nunes in solving the man-made drought.
Dennis Cardoza and Jim Costa have voted with the Democratic leadership of Pelosi and Miller. Their votes have kept the "Pumps" off! Their votes have enabled the removal of water, jobs, and farming on over 1.5 million acres of our valley!

Water, San Joaquin Valley, & Sean Hannity
I received this e-mail today letting me know that the Sean Hannity Show will again be visiting the Central Valley to discuss the man-made drought created by Congress and our very own State officials. Where: A fallowed field on the Westside in Fresno County. (Tomatoes were grown on this land in 2008, but in 2009 NOTHING was planted because of the water cut-off.) Located on the south side of Highway 198, to the west of the Fresno/Kings County line. The field is exactly 8 miles WEST of Lemoore Naval Air Station. The field is very easy to find, because the main entrance is marked with a speed limit sign and a white wrought iron gate. (To view a photo of the entrance click here.) Also, the area will be clearly marked with signs and banners.
As it stands now, parking will be available on the shoulder of Hwy 198, or in the field adjacent to the field we are using for the set. The producers for Hannity have been in contact with the California Highway Patrol, and they will be on hand to assist with directing traffic, and to help with security.
The Latino Water Coalition has graciously agreed provide porta-potties, and Families Protecting the Valley has agreed to provide complimentary bottled water (much like they did for the Hannity event in Huron in August).
The list of guests scheduled to appear with Sean on the show is still being developed, and we should have a better understanding of the line-up by early next week. Confirmed guests include Paul Rodriguez and Congressman Devin Nunes. Stay tuned for more details as they develop.
Please do all you can to tell your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc., that we need to have a HUGE turnout for this. Or better yet, forward this email to everyone on your email distribution list. One Man's POV On Obama's HealthScare
Yesterday night President Obama gave a tired old speech about what he considers a health care insurance 'crisis'. (Isn't everything with these peeps?) The only thing I found to be new was lip-service to malpractice insurance. It was boring, it was full of lies, and it was insulting to at least half of America.
Liars are we? I was happy when CONGRESSMAN JOE WILSON of South Carolina called him to task when Obama did lie. He did apologize, but he also energized both the Left, the Right, and most people in between! Please donate today! The Leftist Marxists are collecting on what happened, let's outdo them. ;)

On Wednesday night President Obama threw a universal healthcare Hail Mary. The call? Incomplete pass.
His much anticipated address to a joint session of Congress promised to finally — for real, this time — provide details about his "healthcare reform plan" (the government takeover of about 20 percent of America's once free market).
Instead, the President regurgitated the same worn-out talking points, tired platitudes and baseless rhetoric he's been spouting for months, generating more confusion than clarity.
As his approval ratings sink faster than an Olds off the bridge Chappaquiddick, the speech-giver-in-chief's latest lecture was a transparently desperate attempt to salvage his signature issue and, by extension, the very presidency he's wagered on it. He even went so far as to breathlessly suggest this time that a failure to implement his governmental healthcare scheme means that "more Americans will die." It was embarrassing.
This was Obama's umpteenth healthcare homily amid an average of more than one speech per day since he's taken office. True, it's better he should run his mouth than actually attempt to govern, but, nonetheless, it's become annoying that he continues to stubbornly refuse America's, "Not only no but h--- no," answer to his persistent "pretty please."
"I am not the first president to take up this cause, but I am determined to be the last," he proclaimed. To that end he may succeed. Indeed, in light of America's boisterous rejection of his socialist vision, future presidents may avoid — like Harry Reid avoids Nevada — the polarizing issue altogether.
As for the speech: I'll leave it to other pundits to tackle the President's arrogantly partisan, condescending and less-than-convincing Windy City tough-guy tone. Instead, I want to address — at the risk of being "called out" by chief thug, Rahm Emanuel (scary, I know) — the fact that Obama, with a straight face, repeatedly lied to the American people (the teleprompter made him do it).
