LB Patriots: Meet Our Candidate

Star Parker is running against Congresswoman Laura Richardson in district 37. The Long Beach Patriots have been invited to this rally. You do not have to live in this district to show your support (or donate). She is a wonderful person with a great history. It's a lot like mine, but she has done much to help everyone with her non-profit business to excel beyond what they thought they ever could.

Please come to show your support. This is also one those Kick Pelosi off the Speaker's chair. (I know I got it wrong, but it's the same meaning.) It is going to be fun, and you have an opportunity to meet our next representative for CA-37!

It will beginning at 2 pm and continue until 4 pm. It will be held at George's 50's Diner, 4390 Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach. (2-4) There will be enough parking, so you don't have to worry about that this time. The number to the diner is (562) 427-5979 if you have any questions about parking.

Oh my, did I forget the date? The date is October 4, 2010. D'oh. Please call me at 251-7280 to let me know if you are coming to this event. I am planning a Tea Party for August, but I need your help. I need someone who can get me to the new location with everything, I also need people to call in during our FreeConferenceCalls. This is going to be larger than the others, so we may need a permit. I'll let you know. I'm going to ask Star Parker for Congress to speak. That's tentative.

NAACP Should Lose Nonprofit Status

There have been times when different organizations throughout our history whom have called for the nonprofit status of a group to be dishonored and suffer the loss of such nonprofit status after it has been proven that said particular group to be politically partisan. I am sad to say that I agree this is one of those times.

Below you will find some people who agree with me (of course). The difference? They are also black, and they are fed up with the hypocracy. Please read further.

NAACP Executive Caught on Tape Lying About Tea Party Attendance

If the NAACP Will Lie About This, What Else Might Its Leadership Be Lying About?.

Washington, D.C. - In [an] appearances on the Fox News Channel this week, NAACP executive Hilary Shelton claimed he attended a major tea party event despite having said three days before that he had not attended a tea party, was "afraid" to go to a tea party rally and had only watched media reports about them.

"Did Hilary Shelton lie to me?" asked Deneen Borelli, full-time fellow with the Project 21 black leadership network. "If he can't give a simple, straightforward answer about whether he has been to a tea party, that certainly calls the truthfulness of his other claims about the tea party movement into question."

On the July 16 edition of "America's Newsroom" on the Fox News Channel, Borelli and Shelton — the NAACP's senior vice president for advocacy — debated the merits of the NAACP's resolution decrying alleged instances of racism at tea party events. In this debate, Shelton claimed to have attended the tea party rally at the U.S. Capitol on the weekend of the House of Representative's vote on health care:

Borelli: "Have you been to a tea party?"

Shelton: "I was. As a matter of fact I was on Capitol Hill at that tea party rally "

However, on the July 13 edition of "America Live," he had a different answer when asked the same question by Phil Dennis of the Dallas Tea Party:

Dennis: "Have you been to a tea party event?"

Shelton: "I have watched you on TV. I'm afraid to go I have not."

Which is it?

"The increasing politicization of the NAACP is putting the reputation of this venerable civil rights institution at risk. For it to be allowed to be used as a weapon to attack the tea party movement calls its credibility into question, and Hilary Shelton telling two tales of his interactions with the tea party is troubling," added Borelli. "I would suggest he take the time to read the tea party's Contract from America and attend a tea party rally — for the first or second time — with an open mind."

Borelli has a statement about the NAACP's racism allegations at the BigGovernment.com website [snip] and another at the FoxNews.com website [snip], has appeared repeatedly on the Fox News Channel to discuss the issue (clips at the SunnyDayAmerica YouTube channel [snip], and joined in a press release condemning the NAACP allegations with other members of Project 21 in a press release[:

"Progressives have hijacked the NAACP to the extent that the group stands silent as conservative blacks suffer indignities for their beliefs. Some NAACP even egg on this appalling behavior – providing political cover and lapdog services for these elitists," said Project 21 member Kevin Martin. "As a conservative black man, I have felt more welcomed and at home within the tea party movement than among those of my own who side with the this new NAACP. If a few random signs of President Obama looking like the Joker is indeed racist, then where was the NAACP when conservative blacks are depicted as lawn jockeys, Oreos and Uncle Toms?" This is a group that fair and does not discriminate. Isn't that what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed about? Black or white, yellow or red, we are all Americans. We are brothers and sisters. July 4th Tea Party Coming Up

For everyone who has questions, I'm trying to find the answers. So far this is what we know.

Matthew Perdie, who has walked 3600 miles across America talking to REAL people, shall be in the home stretch early July. We are trying to raise enough money for his parents and him to stay in a hotel. Five dollars would be better than nothing, I always say. :)

We will meet at Memorial Park for a picnic around 4 pm. Then we will walk the rest of the way with Matthew to show him our support. We will end up at the Santa Monica Pier for a Tea Party at 6 pm. Matthew, of course, will be one of the speakers.

Please wear your walking shoes! We do not want anyone to feel pain during this event. If you cannot walk this distance, please meet us at the Pier.

Speakers, music, entertainment, etc has been taken care of by the Pasadena Patriots Tea Party - Matthew Perdie. The media will be there this time, even if it is only FOX TV. (I'm trying to PJTV.com to come.) They have done an excellent job, as usual.

No ride? Call Metro. It's on one of the first pages of the schedule.
No idea how to get there if you're driving? Try Google maps. If you do not know how to use this, put in your search engine "google maps". When that screen appears, choose the one that is not advertised. Long Beach Patriots: Tax Day Tea Party 2010

Hi everyone. How are you feeling? A little down? Don't be. We are going to try another method than just rallies. We are going to give most of these critters in Congress their pink slips. We can do this, but we need your help.

The Tea Party is going to be held between 130 Cherry Avenue and Junipero Street. We shall also be on the main road, Ocean Blvd, at the later half of our event.

I need some volunteers. I've been shy in the past, but I really do need you. What we need are a video camera, decorations (ribbons, balloons, or whatever you want to bring as long as it's patriotic and not racist or insulting), folding chairs if you'd like to sit, a card table to place the sign-in sheet and petitions, patriotic music (and CD player) including the Star Spangled Banner, snacks if you want them or to share, and whatever else you can think of that I have not put on this list.

Many times I have heard and also wondered, what can I do to help besides attend Tea Parties? It is too late to run for Central Committees in your area, but there are still many things you can do to make sure this town, state, and country remembers its founding.

We can go to city council meetings, we can join our federation of women's groups in our area, we can go out and get people to vote, we can educate people on what is actually in these bills (it's nice to have the bill with you, or at least the part you are describing), we can work in the campaign headquarters of the people we support as volunteers, we can have a candidate's row where we can ask the candidates direct questions politely, and much more. Maybe you could think of something? Maybe we could get them to sign a "NO NEW TAXES" pledge? Hmm.

If you are planning to go, please e-mail me so I can give you my cell number in case you get lost. Hey, it's always a good idea just in case. For you men, COME ON! We all know you've been lost before! haha.

I will also need everyone to be aware that the Left is not happy with effectiveness. They are planning to go to each Tea Party and try to blend in so they can make us look they way they think we are. We know we are not as they describe, so if you see anyone you think is here to cause trouble, let me know. Do not talk to them, do not argue with them. Let me handle it. I have already made the police aware of the situation, so they know how to deal with it. It is their job, and we maintain our good reputation.

Last year two of them showed up and were very polite. They stayed their distance, and they did not say anything. No yelling, no profanity, nothing. This is also their right. If they are like that, leave them alone. They have the same rights as we do. I just wanted to cover this with you. You will be safe. They've never showed up again. We've been fortunate. This is just in case.

If it begins to rain, here's the plan. At 130 Cherry Ave, that is where the laboratories are. There is also shelter overhead on the outside. There is also shelter behind the stage. All of us can fit (at least the size of the last few, haha), so watch for the weather report. Come prepared.

Finally, let's all have a great time. From 5-6 we will hear people speaking, and from 6-7 we shall bring our flags and signs (please no personal signs, this is bigger than one person!) to Ocean Blvd and Cherry Ave. Last time we had very much support, so we should do this everytime. People need to see us.

Another thing that's been done differently this time is we advertized in the Pennysaver! Both print and online. Everyone have a great day, and keep your chin up. They have not defeated us yet, nor will they!

EDITOR'S NOTE: I'm thinking about switching it to having our signs and flags on Ocean Blvd first, then having the speakers. What do you guys think? (I'm thinking this might get everyone jazzed up.) I'd appreciate all opinions on this. Does anyone have any experience in this area? Is this a good/bad idea? Thanks.

Long Beach Patriots Ad At Pennysaver!

This year's Tax Day Tea Party shall have one advantage that last year's did not. It is advertized! Tax Day Tea Party, 130 Cherry Avenue, 5-7 pm, 4/15/2010. If you have questions, please email me. (Don't be lazy. All you have to do is click on my "View my profile". *j/k*)

This time I refuse to be shy. The reason the other Tea Parties are so small with little to offer is because I cannot walk well and have no car. These are some of the things we need.

A Table for the sign-in sheet, anything you may want to sell (I get a %), etc.
Video camera to film the whole event.
Security guards (big dudes) to keep their eyes out for party crashers. Do not touch them. That's what they want.
A plan on how to deal with Leftists.
Microphones.
Speakers. It could by you!
Music that everyone can hear.

We have read some sites that are planning to crash every Tea Party to make us look as they see us, racists, homophobes, etc. It's like asking, "When did you stop beating your wife?". Do not give into the temptation of bopping them on the nose. There shall be NO violence. If you lose it, you will unfortunately be asked to leave as well. Otherwise, it isn't fair. This would suck, so don't do it! Besides, I am going to alert the police so they can have our backs.

Regardless, we are going to have a grand time. We are going to enjoy one another, share ideas, stand on Ocean Blvd and Cherry Ave with our signs and listen to all those horns a-honkin' after we listen to the speakers. Yes, it is going to be fun. Mostly because YOU are there. :)

I was sent some videos from the Tea Party at DC on March 20th and 21st. It is remarkable that the dinosaur media has the audacity to lie to its audience. What can we expect, though? They have no character.

If that were President George W. Bush trying to do this, they would be investigating every little word. Not with this mob. They say something, they print it. No questions asked. That is why I could not work for a rag like that. Dispicable.

20 Nevada Tea Party Groups Release Joint Statement Against “Tea Party Candidate”

Yesterday we posted a poll that asked Tea Party Activists whether or not they think Scott Ashjian, the third party “Tea Party” candidate for U.S. Senate should withdraw from the race. With more than 900 votes in, 95% say yes.

This morning, 20 grassroots tea party groups across the state of Nevada released a joint statement rebuking the candidacy of Scott Ashjian and the attempt to hijack the tea party brand through a third party filing.

Our group, The Patriot Caucus (we now have statewide operations in Nevada), is a proud signer of the statement.

Subject: Unified Statement / Grassroots Nevada is United.

We, the grassroots/tea party leaders of Nevada, speaking for the conservative activists in our communities, are united in issuing the following statement.

• We are united in denouncing the TPN (Tea Party of Nevada).
-o The TPN is not a conservative party who speaks for grassroots and tea party activists in Nevada.
-o The TPN is not now, has never been, and will never be affiliated with grassroots efforts in Nevada.
-o The term “Tea Party Candidate” will no longer be used to indicate grassroots support for a candidate or candidates.

Stop Spending Our Money!

For a whole year now (Feb 27, 2009 will mark the anniversary), the White House, the Congress, and Senate have refused to acknowledge our voices.

WE SHALL BE HEARD on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Time is 2pm-4pm. Place is below.

What you are seeing is the stage that many people mistook for a building. It is located at 116 Junipero Ave. Walk around that building and you'll see the stage. If we are not there at that time, we've marched over to Ocean Blvd. We shall return. You can wait or join us at on the Blvd.

Bring your flags, folding chairs, posters, munchies if you want them, music and any other suggestions. This time there will be an amatuer videographer (me) there, so dress like you mean it.

It begins at 2pm-4pm and is on a Saturday at Bixby Park (btwn Broadway and Ocean Blvd, and btwn Junipero and Cherry). This time, we will be moving toward Ocean Blvd so we can be seen. Our voices shall be heard. If not by the govt, by the people.

As many of you know, the Pasadena Patriots were approached last month by veteran news correspondent Chase Peterson about participating in a documentary series called "Exposing the American Tea Party". Concerned that Mr Peterson had his own agenda, we politely declined. However, his producer came back with an irresistible offer - they would grant us FINAL APPROVAL and ALLOW US TO EDIT THE PIECE. Now granted - none of us are professional filmmakers, but this opportunity was simply too good to pass up. On December 29th, Chase Peterson came to our holiday party at Riley's Farm. Even though we were extremely gracious and cooperative, Mr Peterson's attitude soured throughout the afternoon and upon leaving he refused to give us the video tapes. As you can imagine - this didn't go over well with our group. With the help of Mr Peterson's cameraman, we finally took possession of the video footage. And now - Riley's Farm and the Pasadena Patriots are excited to present our first crack at mockumentary filmmaking "FRONT MAN: Who pays for the party?". Thanks to everyone who participated. It was a total blast and we're already talking to Chase about the next episode. Stay tuned!
